This afternoon I managed to shoot a decent photo of my new haircut for those who are curious. I decided to try shooting some self-portraits - a first for me. Shooting self-portraits is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be! I finally gave up trying to get my DSLR to focus at the correct length and just used my automatic point-and-shoot. It was an interesting way to spend some time on a quiet, rainy afternoon. Probably seems like a really self-absorbed thing to do, but my brain went into photographer mode and I stopped seeing my face in the photos... it just turned into an odd, solo version of one of my usual portrait sessions.

At one point I got a little nutty and shot this one for my brother, Jonathan. He knows what it means.

and just so you know, it's not self-absorbed of you at all! hell, i do it all the time!! daily sometimes.
and for my third comment...i will state that your last two are the best.
and since there is a Canon 5D Mark II, you should re-specify which camera you're using. I'm thinking of the Canon 50D. It doesn't have a full-frame sensor, but I was reading that the full-frame requires much higher quality lenses, meaning more and more price. plus it's 3 grand cheaper. lol.
It's super cute! I've tried that cut before but my hair just kinks out in all the wrong places. You pull it off great, but I can understand feeling a little exposed in the back. :)
you will love the short hair. lower maintenance and fun! i chopped mine off in september and i love it!
awww, it looks super cute! You'll get used to it, and then once it's grown out, you'll start having random urges to chop it all off again. I'm actually going to be cutting mine short again this week. :)

does anyone else find it weird that Jonathan used to be a little baby, and now he's leaving comments on the internet with words like LOL ???
Every time he writes "lol" I think "what? how does he know what LOL is?" It's weird.
...yeah, but I'm glad he uses words like "cruel" so comfortably.
What I want to know is how everybody else seems to get emails from Jonathan and I never have...
