Amaryllis... Hippeastrum

Ann planted the bulb last November and it started a show about a week or two ago. It's nearing the end of it's dramatic life but I thought some of you might enjoy some pics. They call it an amaryllis both here and back home, but when I looked it up online, it's actually called a hippeastrum. Learn something new every day!
