I caught a coach to Heathrow late this morning and was so excited to see Melinda walk through the arrivals gate! We're staying in Basingstoke and travelling into London for the next couple of days so I asked her if she wanted to go to Basingstoke and just relax for the evening or if she wanted to head to London for some site-seeing. She said she slept on the flight and was game to do some exploring so we caught the tube into London and I took her on a walk past some of the main sites.
We arrived in Basingstoke early in the evening and when it was time for bed I told Melinda that although it sounded odd, I recommended we set up her mattress on the bathroom floor. At first she looked at me like I was a little crazy but I explained that jetlag makes it difficult to sleep during normal hours and when the sun starts shining through the curtains early in the morning it would disturb her rest. The bathroom is the only room in the flat without any windows. It felt really inhospitable to set up a guest to sleep on the bathroom floor, but it worked quite well and she slept soundly.

I hope no one needed to *use* that bathroom during the night.
Two bathrooms in the flat. All was good. :-)
