Believe it or not, I've been living in the UK for 100 days!
It actually feels like I've been living here longer than that, and I mean that in a positive way. Most of the time it just feels pretty normal to live here. It feels different - I'm still charmed by the way people speak and I notice the differences between here and Canada - but I don't feel so new to the country and that's a good feeling.
About a month ago I read an article by a couple who had been living in England and they wrote about how strange it was to move through their final days here. Their last day walking in London. Their last time on a train. I was surprised at my response as my eyes filled with tears and I thought, "I don't want to leave yet!" I know I probably have a while before that day comes, but life changes quickly and I know my days here are numbered. There are still so many things I want to see and experience!

And my eyes fill up with tears thinking you may fall in love with the people and country and stay. But God has a way of providing assurance and peace when we least expect it so... I give you your wings, with no strings attached, to fly and discover your hearts desire(s). God will be with us all, in all of your discovering, and if you choose the UK over Canada I will have a fabulous holiday spot to come for visits.
I love you! Mom
