I'm sorry!

I just received a desperate email from one of my blog addicts and in response I want to formally apologize to any die-hard fans for not having an interesting life right now! I do my best to find something interesting in even the most mundane of events, but seriously... nothing is happening right now.

I would also like to clarify that it's only been five days since my last post and going five days without something interesting happening isn't too bad. Trust me... when I eventually get a full-time job, you'll be starved for stories... unless I end up with crazy coworkers.

As I've mentioned previously, my brother, David, is getting married on February 21 so I'm planning to go home for a couple of weeks for the wedding. I was recently asked to be the Master of Ceremonies for the reception, a task I'm really excited about! I don't mind public speaking and I like David and Keri so it's a good combination.

(Since I also get emails from people wanting photos with each of my blog posts, I've included a couple of my favourite shots from David and Keri's engagement photo shoot [I wasn't the photographer]).

The plan is to book my flights and start looking for an outfit this week. I don't get many opportunities to dress up, so I'm excited about having a reason to shop for a fabulous dress! There's a large, high-end department store called John Lewis in Reading, about half an hour away from here by train. I shopped there in November and saw some really fun clothes. I checked their website and discovered they offer a free personal shopping service so I figured I might as well give it a try! My appointment is booked for two hours on Tuesday morning. I gave them my size over the phone and I was told they'll pull some dresses for me and help me put together a complete outfit. I've always wanted to try using a personal shopper... I'll let you know how it goes.
