Whenever I have lived far away from my family, God has provided me with friends who give me what I call my "family fix" - those families who let you just blend into the crowd and not feel like company. This morning Emma sent me a text inviting me to join her in taking the girls to Wellington Country Park. I've never been there, but I discovered a beautiful park with plenty of activities for the kids - things to climb on, playhouses to rest in, slides to squeal down, and a beautiful trail around the lake. Emma smeared sunblock on the girls, we pulled hats on their heads, and had a great time playing.

After the park we returned to the house to play for a little while before heading into town with Matthew to do some shopping and hang out in Starbucks. Returning to the house brought more playing and laughter, the girls heading off to bed, the grownups eating Japanese take-out (delicious!), and a few rounds of fast Scrabble. Oh yeah, have I mentioned I adore these girls?

Have I mentioned that they adore you too?? Besides, you're part of the family now! Thanks for a great day too- you chose all my favourite photos! It's when Hannah squeals Amanda!!! and jumps up and down in her seat when she saw you!
Hey, Emma! You might have to cut back on these visits so Amanda misses her "real" family a little bit more. LOL Only kidding. I'm so thankful to God for providing a family such as yours, and Ian & Maggie and others! (Hey my word verification is 'emiza'. Kinda pretty.)
Can you bring Emma and the girls back in your suitcase?
Carol
And I bet they have cute little English accents to go along with it!!
I don't know if this this is what you're looking for, but have you thought of working at Capernwray? They're always needing people!
...just a thought.
Becky
